Guys,

Have a 06 SS, placed a CAI.com on it, nice but now my traction control is sending a message of " service traction control". Need to know where to start on fixing it.

Since my original issue the car has been sitting, here is the scenario and current issue:
bolted on a CAI.com air intake, warmed her up and stepped on it. Car bogged terrible and the "service traction control soon" message appeared (this was with the traction control in the off position). Let sit a few and tried again (to torch em), same thing, now when I step on it it bogs’ and the same message keeps appearing.
If the TC was in the off position why does this come on? I have seen other users here with the CAI.com intake, any issues like this? If so any ideas on resolution?

I'm not an expert with cars yet but from what I'm reading, it could be a loose ground connection. Usually, when you install the heat shield for the CAI (depending on which one you bought, I know the one I bought K&N came with a heat shield that had to bolt to the frame of the car along with the ground wire for the traction/abs) check to make sure that wire is firmly connected, check to make sure the ducts are connected firmly to the throttle body and the filter itself, and that the mass air flow connector is seated properly to the duct. Also, if your sure everythings good check to see if the filter didnt pick up anything nasty depending on how deep you installed it. Does the car idle normally? Any check engine lights? I know the car is fairly new but still good to see if anything is constricting the flow of air to cause the car to act like that. The next thing I'd check is the abs/traction harness that connect to the wheel hubs, make sure they are all connected properly. Thats the best advice I can give you, I wish I was an expert at these things, but I am diagnosing your problem based on what I faced with my 03 SS.

I had the same light turn on with The Beast after a mild accident last year. The harness that connects to my ABS Module came loose. Visually, it looked fine. I only found out that was the problem when I physically pulled the connection. After I hooked it up, I was good to go. Good luck!

 

Where exactly is the ABS module/connection located? I keep getting code:

C1218 Pump Motor Circuit Short to Voltage or Motor Ground Open

But haven't had a chance to try to run it down yet?
