Tires for 05 Supercharged......
I may have found a 05 MC SS Supercharged to buy. Finally !
I would like to put raised white letter tires on the car enventually.
I'm old school.
I would prefer Firehawk Indy 500's but they don't make the size
I will need (17" p235/55r ?)or what the specs call for. I think ?
Does anyone have any suggestions ? The tire must NOT interfere
with the steeering. Would 60's be alright for this car ?
I may be just out of luck and have to settle black/walls.
Thanks.

I think Good Year might make the white raised tires, but not sure if for your size...Check Tirerack.com
I would not use a 60 series tire on a 17" rim, the 60's are for the 16" rim. The 55 series is for the 17" rims. I think it will probably scrape if you used a 60 series, plus it would look weird, and throw off your speedo...

........yeah the 60's would be a problem. They would also make the car sit a
little higher off the ground. Don't want that look. I've been looking at GoodYear's
and the Bridgestone / Firestone tire for that size. I own a 96 S-10 with Indy 500
Firehawks and they have been the best tires that I have ever owned.
Blackwall GoodYears may have to do. I'll do some research......
thanks.

There's always redline tires also.
Here is a list of all 44 tires that Tire Rack has for the '05 S/C Monte Carlo, and they are all blackwalls:
