Default Thermostat Gasket.

Should I only use the rubber o-ring around the thermostat itself or should I use the paper gasket as well between the engine and the housing? Ive gotten away with the rubber o-ring alone for the last couple years but just wondering if I should be using both? I remember speaking about this here some years ago but cant remember what was suggested or recommended and certainly cant find the post here.

As always, thanks.

I always use the o-ring around the thermostat, never had a issue. I also put anti-sieze on the bolts for future removal.
