Default Temperaure control panel question

Hello all,

I have a 2001 Monte Carlo SS. Recently, I have had a weird issue with the AC. I noticed that it seemed like it wasn't cooling inside my car like always. Thought possibly I needed to do a leak check and add freeon. But then I noticed that the air blowing out of the vents on the driver's side was basically warm, while the air coming out on the passenger side was ice cold. I checked to make sure both sliders on the control were all the way down (cold). They were.
Has anyone come across this issue. Do I need to replace the temp control panel? If so, does anyone know an approx. price?

Thanks for any help!
Jim

Don't know if the DUAL control is the problem but they run @ $249 dealer. If you search the net, you can find one for $116 plus s&h.

I know since I ordered one after plenty of searching and found before it arrived that it wasn't needed after all. (My problem was different than your problem.) So, it is new and in the opened box. If you find that is indeed the source of the problem, contact me. It's for a 2001 MC SS.
