6th Gen ('00-'05): Tail Light
Hi new member here. I have question on rear tai lights. 2001 SS. the passenger and driver side both bottom lights work as parking and brake lights. However the passenger top light only works as a blinker. The driver top light works as parking light and blinker. My question is do I have a light out or do I have a light that is not supposed to be on ( REFERING TO TOPS ONLY). Also I have at times the driver blinker not working and I can not even hear any clicking like when the passenger side blinker makes, This is not all the time just every now and then. Thanks for any help anyone can give me I just bought this car yesterday. Hope I explained it clear enough

If I recall, those top bulbs have two filaments in them for two different circuits. My guess is one of the filaments on the passenger side is bad. A simple bulb replacement is most likely your answer.

This brings forth the next question. Bulbs are good, what about wiring? If you take the driver side taillight and plug it into the passenger side and vice versa, do you have the same problem? It could boil down to a problem with the wiring of the harness or a socket (and hopefully not the wiring or a connector in the car).
