Default Opinion and advice

Hi guys...just purchased a 95 Monte. Car has 72000 miles and hasn't been driven in about a year. Seems to run pretty well but there is a slight burning smell from the front passenger side. Not sure if it is brake smell or motor smell. Any opinions would be appreciated before I run it down to my mechanic

Congrats, that's pretty low miles for a '95. Is it an LS or Z34?

I've no idea what the smell could be; your mechanic would have a much better idea once he checks it over.

It's an LS. I'm not too concerned but thought I would throw it out to the forum.
On a separate note, is this an active forum to buy and sell. I'm looking to sell this early next year. Moving cross country and trying to take as little as possible

Probably a Motor Smell like Anti-Freeze usually is a common odor smells burnt when it gets driven. Check the fluid levels make sure you are good.
You can do best at selling it at craigslist.

Do you have a jack and jack stands? Should be easy to track down throwing it up in the air real quick after driving. Unfortunately there aren't any common issues specific to these cars that would help point you in the right direction without a bit more direction as to location.

As far as selling, I'd certainly post it here, always worth a try. May get lucky and find a local member looking for one.

I'd agree though, craigslist / autotrader is probably your best bet locally. Hopefully you already know values are in the tank at this point, so you probably wont get much.

Hey..just thought I would throw it out there. Thought it may be specific to Montes.
As far as selling not looking for much as I only bought it for 1500.
Relocating next year and dont plan on taking it.
