Default Subs?

Hey guys whats going on? well im having some problems with my subs. My subs were working fine one day and they cut out. I shut my car off and turned it back on and it worked fine for another week and then they died. They just completly cut out while playing. I have no clue whats going on! I check my fuse, checked power, not to sure about an amp but i tried hooking a new one toi it but not a great attempt, still notplaying and i have no clue whats going on. I made sure all of mny wires are connected and nothing. Ive lost my mind and could probably punch a whole through my subs right now, does any1 have any tips?

youve checked all the things i would check if my subs cut out, but you can check to see if your gain is to high on the amp cause that will cause them to cut out although they should come back on after a few seconds. i dont know what kind of subs you have but there could always be a problem with one of the terminals on one of the subs. if you have them hooked in a parellel series and theres a bad terminal it will cut them both out, but if theyre just single series then only the one sub would cut out. thats all i can help ya with sorry about your luck.

i had the same problem with a set i had in my honda (beater) and it was my amp getting too hot. turn down the gain and give it better ventilation and you should be good. either that or just get a bigger amp. thats the problem i have with the system in my mustang

Also, I have 2 12's and a 1200watt amp. Now we have checked the power going to it and its only at 30 watts. Ive read on crutchfield that subs should be getting 200-300 watts of power? Im not to great with these things i apologize.
