Default Sub-frame

Hit some ice on a real sharp corner and slide into a telephone pole. Brought it to a local mechanic i know pretty well, He told me the subframe is bent on the front passenger side, Im just curious how horrible this is going to be on a 96 monte. Thanks

They have Frame Machines that will "Pull-It-Out"

The time adds-up when they have to anchor the car and move the Hydraulic Ram that applies the Pulling Force around ... But, they can straighten it!

well, the mechanic I took it to doesnt have one of those, hes a local good ol boys kinda guy but knows his cars as far as iv seen, He told me he could get a replacment for 200 to 250 and wouldnt charge me labor if i helped him out around his house. Would this route or find some place to straighten it be cheaper?

Sounds like you bent the cradle. The cradle bolts to the unibody andsupports the engine/transmission and the front suspension and steering components attach to it. When the cradle is bent due to a collision it must be replaced. A used cradle for $250.00 is a decent price.
