same here, I noticed it at low speeds when making full turns (like in a parking garage)

It seems more like the interior, the vinyl of the steering wheel rather than the clunking sound of the ISS, as mentioned above.

Was anyone able to solve this? or figure out where to spray the lubricant?

I haven't bothered to do anything about it on my car. It's just another little annoyance that I've learned to live with, like the message on my dash every time I start the car that tells me to service the tire pressure monitoring system (because one of my sensors is broken). I don't feel like taking apart the dash to try to get to the squeak, and I'm not going to pay the dealer or one of the local mechanics $90-100/hr or whatever ridiculous amount they're getting for labor around here just to get rid of a little squeak in the wheel.

You have the right attitude. I need to come off this perfectionist attitude. It's just a car and there is more to life than a perfect car (that will never be perfect unless it is kept covered in a garage).

On that note, is any damage being done by not lubricating it?

You sound like me. I have both problems too.

I am kind of a perfectionist, actually, but I guess I'm learning to be less of one. I'd like my Monte to look great all the time, and for everything to be working perfectly, but that's not really practical since it's outdoors all the time and it's my daily driver.

The steering wheel squeak is really low priority for me, anyway. Right now, I've got the front brakes to do again, the tranny fluid is overdue for a change, I'm thinking about finally upgrading my exhaust and considering replacing my headlights with HIDs or CCFLs. I'm also considering having some paint work done on the car to get rid of flaws that were there when I bought it, and some new damage to the rear bumper from some idiot that backed into my car when I was parked in a hotel parking lot last fall.

It's also got some minor damage on the hood and trunk from a hailstorm last year, but that's another thing I'll probably just live with. Most people probably wouldn't notice it unless I pointed it out to them; car people like us on the forum probably would.
