when taking off rolling or stopped it shudders vigorously and pops after the pop strong smell of exhaust fumes become present
its an 86 and many people have given me many ideas hoping someone can help¿?

 

has anybody done any work to the ignition or valve train recently? Just trying to get a general idea on where to start thinkin about

 

none an old woman had it and drove it once a week it got 68000 original miles the only work done is regular work like oil changes and tune ups

 

This one coule be a little tricky. It could be anything for a bad vacuum line, a dropped valve, bad plugs or wires, crossed wires, a rounded off cam lobe, loose timing chain just to list a few. I would start going threw the basic stuff first. Check all your vacuum lines really good. get the firing order and check the plug wires. Pull the plugs and see if one is fouling and firing off time. That is where I would start before checking internals. Although I have more than once seen a car from little old ladies that turn out to be headaches because they didn't drive it much and then when ya go to put some miles on it it starts breaking stuff.

 

im gunna check the wires and replace the distributor cap and if nothing i guess im gunna start digging
