My '01 just started doing this last week. At 57,000 miles... that sucks. I don't have the money for internal transmission work... might be time to sell it and buy a 'Vette

Ya I've noticed that I get a hard shift from 1-2 a little bit on my 01 with 61,000 miles. I'm not shure if its the shudder you guys are talking about though.

The shudder feels almost like a busted tranny mount ie; it shakes the entire car, but 2-3 and 3-4 shifts are smooth as can be so I know mine is not a busted tranny mount.

Yeah, mine is a light shutter as well.

It does not happen all the time either.

Ok it was a little over exagerated...but it does feel like a broken tranny/motor mount, I can definitly feel it through the pedal. As the TSB says, i really only notice it under light or very moderate acceleration. If I get on her at all it is not nearly as noticable if at all.

If my trans goes it will just give me a reason to upgrade to the HD trans... I've always been told that the trans is the weakest link of the drive train on the N/A 3.8L....

Today it felt more like a misfire... actually a lot like it felt when my cat went bad. But that was replaced under 5,000 miles ago..

I think at this point I am just gonna deal with this slight irritation. If they tranny gets worse or goes out then I will replace/ fix the thing. I am way too broke right now to be rebuilding trannys. Hell I cant even afford to get the shift kit for the tranny at this point so a rebuild would probably force me to sell one of my kidneys [sm=jawdrop.gif]
