Should I coat My New Gas Tank???

Default Should I coat My New Gas Tank???

My old gas tank has a hole in ... so i oredered a new one ... do you thing it would be a good idea to rubber coat it or tar it to protect it against rust or just leave it alone and put it on???
Any other ideas or suggestions will help Thanks A Lot

They should have a good coating on the inside. On the outside you could put a coating, but rubber or tar will weigh it down quite a bit. Maybe just hit it with Rustoleum.
