So, today I took my 06 monte ss in for a few things including, the water up by the home link thing on the headliner, well now tonight i start the car up and the service airbag light comes on, i drive to get gas and guess what, now its off.....WTF i took a pic for proof.....the pass indicator light wasnt changing to "on" when my fiance was in it either when the light was on....then after turning the car off at the gas station and re starting, it went thru its check where on and off illuminate, then it went to on like it should have.....any ideas? they did take the home link bezel down today i do know that.......could it be a loose connection causing this?

 

mine has come on a couple times and went out, just figured it wasn't anything serious.

 

Weird, I have a 12 month 12k warranty on it, think i should take it in still? they will say "theres no code" blah blah blah....think the pic will help?

 

pic might help, but no codes and unable to reporduce the problem, no use? I remember when mine came on I just about freaked and then it went out. I was fearing the worst, just like any other warnings, CEL or ABS/traction control lights.....

also, the first week I had the car the check engine came on and all it was, was the freaking gas cap......

 

mine was turning on and off for awhile, i was able to wiggle the wire under the seat and it would turn off, but now it just stays on. when i hot a bump it turns on and off too, but mostly its always on.

 

I know mines was going on and off as well. Until....... It ended up staying on and now the mechanics tell me they can't find the problem

 

My Silverado has the exact same thing happening... You can set your clock by it - hit a bump, light goes on, hit another, light goes off....and repeat. I'm not too concerned by it, since I really only drive it in the Winter, but maybe I'll get it looked at soon.
