There should be a belt diagram sticker under your hood.

Check all the parts that spin and see if you can find the noise?

depends on the car. i believe the ls4s require a special tool to do it.

The belt on the 3800 NA used to take me about 10 minutes to swap with a 3/8" ratchet to move the tensioner. Since I put the SC engine in I have an extra belt to change and much less room to change it in, so I haven't tried.

My belt is starting to make noise on startup on my 2004 with the supercharged engine. I'm not sure which belt it is or if its one of the tensioners. The belts look good so I'm assuming the tensioner which I don't know how hard these are to do on the supercharged cars.
