i have an 01 ss that has about 167000 miles on it. it runs great and has not given me to much problems. my problem is when the weather starts to get warm outside. if it sits in the sun with the windows up or its really hot it will ussually act up. it does not do it in the winter or when its cool out. here is what it will do

service vehicle sood light on
altinator guage does not work
security light on in message center
sometimes the radio will lock up and say security on it
sometimes the temp guage wont work
sometimes the windows wont work
sometimes the tach and speedo wont work
sometimes radio will stay on after car is off and door is open

anyone that has got some helpful info would be greatly appreciated

It sounds to me like you might have a failing BCM (Body Control Module) They are famous for going bad on these cars and the symptoms that you described sound like more than a security issue. They sound to me like a possible BCM issue. The fact that you said it only does it when it is warm in the car makes sense too since I have heard that heat can bring out or exaggerate BCM issues. Hopefully another member will chime in with there opinion also.
