It Means it sx to be you! LOL Kidding
it is not hard to re set odes but it requiers some software or a programmer that can read and or reset codes for your car.
But you can do some small things also like checking all fluids in the car to include the washer level and also check to see if your gas cap is on tight (yes im serious)

Other then that you might see if you can figure out how to get some one to read it for you at a local parts store and then get a list of codes off line that tell you wha tthey are.
If you cant do this then the dealer would be the next choice or a local shop that has the stuff to read them.
So will do them for a small fee for you some will do it free if you tell them they are goign to be the ones fixing the issue with the car.

etheir way if it flashes and gose out and the flashes again it could be serious or not so i would get it checked out soon

Just resetting it will not fix your problem.

The check engine light has nothing to do with fluids. It is designed to come on when there is a problem that is effecting the emissions of the vehicle. It can be caused by many things. Some places will read codes for free, but that does not mean to just replace that part. For example, if its an O2 sensor code, that can be caused by an intake or exhaust leak. So if you guess and just replace the O2 but you have an intake leak, the code could come back.

If it flashes, it is likely catalytic converter damaging (possible misfire) but don't quote me on that.

You should only reset the code(s) once you have found and fixed the problem. Assuming that you have fixed and found the problem, a simple way to reset a DTC is to disconnect the battery. Let it sit for a few minutes with it disconnected, then recconect battery. The codes will be reset, along with you radio stations and clock. lol... not that that big of a deal. Just make sure you have found n fixed the problemo first.
