reprogram or upgrade exhaust?
I was looking at more mods and i found 2 i want to do but cant afford both and im not sure whats going to give me the most hp increase and be over effective. First would be a reprogrammer of some type like the hypertech one. Sencond for roughly the same price a good shop here can put on a 3" downpipe with braided flex tubing w/ magnaflow 3" cat and u-bend delete. The car has a drop in k&n filter, cat back exhaust, and the thrasher shift kit is in the mail. Since these arent programmed and i always run 93 octane i figured the reprogrammer may be best, but the exhaust would flow a lot better and sound deeper too. Wondering if anyone had input on either of these options and their experience with them. Thanks.

RE: reprogram or upgrade exhaust?
I think the exhaust will be your best upgrade, if you would like, you can buy the downpipe combo I have for sale here, check out the last comment. https://montecarloforum.com/m_38800/tm.htm
The Hypertech programmer is a waste of money because you really can't "tune" with it. It does have cool features and a 7 year old can program with it, but it is inherently very limited. I bought mine and put it back on E-Bay within 4 hours of having it. Go to a DHP, or for a better support model HP Tuners.
As for the 93 octane, you really don't need it. The only Monte's that require it are those under boost. There are a few exceptions, but not at your HP level.

personally i would do the exhaust upgrade first....
thats what most people do anyway and i think you would get the most gains out of it
