Default Removing guage/radio bezel 07 SS

I have searched all over on the net today for this. I need to remove the carbon fiber imitation from dash and the radio bezel for painting. Is this stuff just snapped in? I hope so. What about door switch bezels? Snapped???? Thanks

radio bezel is just clips and it's pretty easy to get off (6 clips--3 on each side top, middle, bottom, and none going across the top or bottom), however i couldn't tell you for the carbon fiber stuff (never had it off). I usually take my whole interior door trim out when messing with the window switches and door locks, just because it's easier. If i remember right they're just clipped in, but it's pretty much impossible to unclip them if the door panel's still on.

good luck!

Be careful when you paint them. When I did mine, the carbon imitation started bubbling and I had to start over, after sanding them all the way down to plastic.

Does all the vents and stuff stay attached. Someone is doing this project for me once I get it all removed and I don't want them stuck in a big mess for something they didn't sign on for. Originally I thought they would all just snap out. How does the guage bezel come out? Do you haev any pics of yours finished?

I am not even gonna mess with that right now. Maybe later. I am just gonna get the radio bezel and both door lock switch surrounds done for now. I had the area off the door, but couldn't figure out how to get the actual switch out of it. I see it will unplug, but I want the switch completely out. It appears to have prongs on the sides of switch but I couldn't get it out. Maybe it goes out the front and not the back. Any suggestions? I think doing those 3 pieces for now will add some color to inside. Edit:I think I have the door locks figured out. Found something on Barovelli.com showing me how finally. I was doing it right, just not getting it. Another day tomorrow.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. The gauge cluster does not snap out. It it plastic welded to the rest of the piece. I drilled out the plastic welds and replaced them with small bolts that I haven't completely refinished yet in order to paint properly. The vents do come out. There is a combination of screws and clips that hold them in place.
