Removing Door Panels
yeah, its the same procedure.
Thanks! clips and screws no problem, have window jacked up with styrofoam now and panel back on until new window regulator arrives. Cables were all mauled. Always somethin! Recently had to have a new crank shaft sensor installed. Have a good weekend!
I was able to do the passenger side just fine replacing my 6.5's but when i did the drivers door i barely pried up on the window switch part and it snapped in half. now if i press the window buttons down too hard they fall in the door.
Big thanks to Hemi_Dad for his instructional guide (I will repost his steps along with the pictures and excruciating details). I just took off my passenger side door and figured I should take some pictures for this thread (my first How To guide; have mercy). If necessary, feel free to stick this as a separate thing in the How To: 6th gen. I apologize for the quality, I only have a cellphone camera of poor quality..
Tools required: Phillips head screw driver, Torx T30 bit, patience.
Suggestions: Drop light (for light), mini flathead (for prying)
1) remove the phillips head screw behind the door handle.

2) remove the bezel: Pull up on the front part (by the power lock switch) and slide it out.
3) remove the door lock switch from the bezel: It has two 'clips' on either side. Pry (gently) on the sides of the housing until you can slide it out.

4) remove the phillips head screw behind the mirror

5) remove the two Torx screws by the handle on the door (T30 bit): They are set in at a slight angle.

6) remove the door panel: Start off by the mirror and gently start moving around the door. Don't yank on it, because you will break it. Just firmly and slowly slide your thumb around the door and the clips will pop out. If you go too hard you will break some of the ridges on the clips and will have a loose door panel. After the clips are all out, lift up on the panel to get it off of the hooks by the window.
The clips are these:

7) remove the window switch: Similar to the power lock switch, but at a more annoying angle.

To put it back on, just reverse everything. Goodluck!
