I have a 2001 Monte SS
My key fob stopped working so I replaced the battery but that didn't do it.
I pushed the lock & unlock buttons like it stated on the cover to re-sync it & that didn't work either. I went thru the programing steps with the factory stereo I got the beep I was supposed to hear but still nothing. Does anyone know where the receiving unit in the car is and if that could be the problem.
The key fob doesn't do anything for the doors,trunk or panic button.

It could be just a bad key fob, do you have another one to try?

I bought a key fob for my 07 MC SS for $19.00on with remote starter on ebay.The seller will have the info to program it. My works great.
