7th Gen ('06-'07): Red 07 monte carlo ss question for you all
I agree, just post the questions here in the thread. We've got a wide variety of backgrounds here, so I doubt you'll get any useful PM responses as we don't know what topic your questions are about - ie do you have mechanical issues that need fixed first, minor body work to try to bring top dollar, looking for a platform to sell it on, etc etc.
I apologize if this is not where to ask the question broski but can you tell me where I can get ANYTHING to boost the horse power of my 2007 Monte SS? I am new and just making sure I am not breaking any rules here. Gracias
-Post a new thread of your own rather than ask it in a reply to an existing thread. Youll get a lot more views / replies that way.
-Post it in the engine section. This is the repair section for people trying to fix broken stuff.
I am having to move very soon and I have an 07 a red Monte Carlo SS it is in great condition black interior and I need help selling it as quickly as possible it doesn't start right now because the ignition I'm not sure what it is and I don't have time to fix it I just need to get it gone because I already have a vehicle and I won't be able to take time with me he has a clean title I tried posting online not getting anyone serious enough to want to buy it I am asking a very very cheap cheap price $4,000 as is it just needs something with the ignition a ground wire or something I don't have time to figure it out so it would have to be towed but it was starting just got a new head job it's a V8 L4 motor can anyone please tell me what I need to do or if they know of anyone or help me get this thing sold so it will be one less thing for me to worry about cuz I'm trying to move everything in the next two weeks

1- have it towed to a mechanic to fix it so you can sell it for reasonable money. Sure you're going to put money in, but if its really as minor an issue as you think, it shouldn't be too expensive to fix - especially compared to how much more you can sell the car for.
2 - drop the price significantly to sell as is. Id bet you'd have to get the price down to $1000 or so to get rid of it, especially since it has to be hauled away.
No offense, but $4k for one of these that doesn't run isn't cheap at all. Thanks to all of the shady sellers out there - everyone will automatically assume something major is wrong- engine is blown, trans is blown, its a flood car, chassis is tweaked, etc. As breaking something simple to disable the car completely (or losing the keys) is a common ploy by shady sellers to cover up major issues. For reference, the only LS4 car currently for sale local to me (a GP GXP - much less rare, but has more options than the montes did) running / driving / clean title / 110k mile w/ recent full trans rebuild for $4800.
Clearly you're not trying to cover something up on your car, but you've also got no way to prove it to a buyer and theyve got no way to test it. They can't even test drive it to see if it drives straight or to see that all of the major systems work. It also drastically limits your market pool as most average car buyers these days would never consider buying a broken car from the start.
IMO your best bet to avoid practically giving it away is to have it towed to a shop and get it running.
