Sits in front of the carb with two thin lines running to it

With the pictures it's hard to tell what switch it's for. But it's referred to a ported vacuum switch. More information such as year, engine, what the vacuum lines are going to would help get a better answer. Sometimes found on the thermostat housing other times in the intake manifold.

By the way, what's up with the bare wires on the other sensor next to it and the (WTF??) solder job on the idle stop solenoid body?
Thanks! Yea just about all the wiring has to be redone on this thing
