Unhappy Reasonable priced parts

Don't know if I'm unlucky or these cars break a lot. I need a power window switch, driver side window regulator, and a dimmer switch assembly for starters. Where can these be bought for a good price. I was quoted $225 for the window regulator, $50 for the window switch, and $240 for the dimmer switch.
The temperature gauge is not working, either. The car only has 80,000 miles on it. My '97 Pontiac cost me less than that in parts over ten years.

rock auto has good prices and fast shipping.

Any time I've needed any type of parts like that I always just go to the local wreckers and get them used. You can probably pick up a whole door for 100 bucks and strip the parts you need for your door, and a dimmer switch would be 30 bucks or less. I've only ever had to replace the drivers side window switch in my car, and it was relatively cheap

I've had to replace tons of stuff on my car, since it's a Sandy flood victim. I've bough a lot of stuff off of Ebay, and also through Amazon.com.
