Hello everyone, I was hoping someone could give me a hand with figuring out the wiring and pin out for the connector for this dimming rear view mirror with map lights I want to install. All I want is the map lights to work and the auto dimming. I don't need the auto dimming to turn off in reverse or any of the other functions to work. Can anyone give me a hand? Thank you in advance!

Are you trying to put an up-level mirror in a car with a lower tier mirror? What year is the car and any chance you know the year the mirror was from? I might be able to cross ref some items. ANd as for controlling the auto-dim, the on/off for the autodimming I believe is supposed to be a button on the mirror itself. Personally, I am not a fan of autodimming OR the failure rate of the autodimming in this. Both my Montes have basic mirrors with map lights.

 

Yes, I'm taking one from an 02 to replace a manual dim. I only want to get the dim and map lights to work. I don't care about the reverse off.

 

Here are the pin outs for a 2002 Impala (and should match a 2002 Monte, as they are the same basic car.
