I've got a 2003 LS and the rear defogger always worked perfectly till the other day when it decided to stop working.

I looked up the circuit in the manual and it's a 30A breaker in the passenger door fuse panel.

I'm stumped as to how to get at it as it seems to be under a grey cover with some sort of silver fastener in the middle- I can barely see it as the door is too close to get my noggin in there for a good look.

Am I supposed to remove the cover and reset the breaker? Do I need a special tool to remove the cover? Or replace it? I'm at a standstill and would appreciate any help anyone can give.

Thanks for the quick reply guys and the excellent step by step fix Maniac. Hopefully it's just the relay...I'm not too comfortable removing the whole fuse block but will if it comes to that.
One thing I'd like to clarify is the type of fastener holding the grey harness cover on the front. Is it absolutely necessary to loosen/remove it?
As I said before I couldn't really see it clearly-is it a standard socket? i tried a few small ones blind and none seemed to grab. I'll take a small mirror out with me next time..It's a tight area there lol.

That big connector has a bolt in the center of it. It's a hex head, bolt, I sadly don't recall what size. Just shooting one to try, a 7mm. Since I did that, i found some people did this task without removing the fuse block. To be honest, I'd still remove the block, as long as you disconnect the battery, it's really not a big deal.

Plus, I don't think I put it in my write up, but the aftermarket circuit breaker sold at the parts stores has wides legs then the OEM one. I had to trim them so it fit in there. Easier to test fit when the block is out of the car.

Also, the is a circuit breaker on the back side of the block, not a relay. More then likely the relay in the front of the block is fine.
