What did GM say after the pictures, are they going to honor the 6yr/100k even though its 7 years old? Is there a fix for why this is happening? Eventually im going to get the body work and paint done, but dont want it to happen again. Does anyone know where or why the water is sitting in this area causing it to rust out?
Its on the leading edge of the right rear wheel well. From the body moulding up. say from the 4 o'clock position to the 2 o'clock position.

The wheel well rust your experiencing seems to be common on the 06 / 07 Monte's, something to do with ther plastic fender liner trapping moisture. Read through this forum article and what the other members have to say about this happening on their Monte's.
