What liquid runs through the metal hose on the passenger lower side of th radiator

 

Sounds like you're looking at the transmission cooling line. There are two small diameter (3/8" or so) metal lines that go in and out of the radiator. There's a transmission radiator inside the regular radiator (to keep the engine coolant and tranny coolant separate).
