Question Radiator drain plug location?

I need to drain the coolant in my Monte SS 3800. I have a Haynes Manual that places it on the left side to me it looks like it's facing the grill side in the picture. Is it on the grill or motor side. Thanks.

That's what I was afraid of. I'm not very flexible anymore so it sounds like a fun day to change the anti-freeze. I don't know if it would be easier to disconnect the lower hose for me. It depends on were the clamp is. and I only have a pair of channel locks to compress the clamp. Thanks for the fast reply.

I believe the plug is a 19mm and a socket and extension can reach it. It's hard to see and feel, but it's there. But be GENTLE when you tighten it back up, it's a plastic plug that tightens into a plastic housing, does not take much.

Instead of looking, reach you hand down and see if you can feel the hex shape to find it. Also, it faces the engine.

Thanks Maniac. That would be great if I could get in there from the top. If that works I owe you a beer!

It's pretty easy to get to the plug if you remove the lower air deflector held on by six 10mm bolts.

Don't unscrew the plug all the way out or the rubber will come off the end of the plug. Just unscrew about one full turn and have patience for it to drain.
