Default Radiator drain **** location

Hi all!

I just bought an 07 SS and I'm trying to do a coolant flush but I can't find the damn radiator drain ****. Usually they're on the driver side of the rad facing the engine, but I just don't see it.

I searched the forums, but didn't seen any 5.3 SS coolant flush info. Thank you in advance!

Personally, I wouldnt touch it even if you do find it. Id be worried its never been opened, and given the age of the car that either the plastic would break or the seal wouldn't hold after closing.

I'd just slice the lower radiator hose (and replace it of course) - assuming it looks original and has never been off either.

I am about to do the same thing on my 07 SS I was wondering what you ended up doing? Did you end up cutting the hose??

I'd try to remove the clamp on the lower radiator hose and pull the hose off instead of cutting it off. Unless it's really mushy feeling (flimsy, etc.) then you don't need to replace it.
