hi there i went to my garage and my mechanic told me that my radiator core support was broken driver side and i would like to know if it is fixable or not without changing the old thing and it
is only at the bottom driver t hat it is broken because of the rust so can somebody try to help me how to do it.waitting to hear from somebody of this forum thank you..

 

Looks like only way to fix the rust is to cut it out and weld in a new piece. You can look in the junkyard for a rust free one and have the pieces you need cut off, or you can try to find the original GM part if it is still available. Either way you will need to have someone cut the rusty part off and weld in the new one.

 

Do you have a picture? Hard to tell if it's worth fixing unless we can get an idea of how bad the rust is.

Second question- do you have a welder?

first no pictures because no lift at my house and do not own a welder at all and thank you for your answer but i went to repair garage and they did it for me ok.
