Quickest 3100 removal method
#2
I don't know about a 3100 but for a 3.4 V6 DOHC I have read that the easiest way is to raise the vehicle, disconnect the subframe and lower it from the bottom. But that seems like non-sensible advice to give on do-it-yourself forums because it should seem obvious that people do not have a mechanics shop at home with hydraulic car lifts in their garage.... If you have an engine hoist it maybe possible to lift your 3100 out of the car from the top with the transmission attached. It is doable with the 3.4 V6 DOHC.
