Default Quick A/C recharge question

I just got a kit to recharge my A/C system for my 96 Monte Carlo LS. And I can't locate the Low A/C service spot. Well there are two caps under the airbox for the A/C but they are not labeled High and Low?? So which one is High and which one is Low?

Thanks for the help!

Usually the hose supplied with the guage orkit only fits on one of the fittings. The threads are are usually different sizes.

If you follow the line on any car the low pressure side will go to the interior of the car,and the high pressure side will go to the condenser in front of the radiator.

Good news I found the port, bad news is I need a new compressor. (well its not engaging ). I guess it could be a fuse/relay or maybe end clutch.

Not always. A compressor not engaging comes with a variety of solutions. (A broken clutch is very rare.)

1. The ECM

2. Low to Zero coolant pressure; i.e., a leak in one of the hoses.

3. You mentioned the fuses or relays.

....and I am sure there are a couple more.

i would suspect the pressure is too low so the computer isnt allowing the clutch to engage. after tring the kit, if i was in your shoes i might try calling around for prices on getting it diagnosed. some places might be cheaper than you think, with a cheap diagnosis to get you in the door, just so they can try to sell you a repair.
