Questions for a 2000 LS

Sorry for the delay. I took a few pics with my better camera. Looks like there are 7 of those located throughout the board anyway. Note these are pictures from a 3 gauge cluster (Speed, RPM, Temp.)
It does look like you're missing that piece.

Somewhere like mouser.com would probably have it, but as to how to search it, you're on your own. This is what I was afraid of and why I suggested getting a junkyard cluster; it might easier, faster solution... though I suppose you run the risk of having this happening again.

Just to insert myself into this discussion, if you get the odometer working and still have a gas gauge problem, and decide it is the sending unit, go Dorman. I had the worst fuel supply problems in my Aurora, because it came with an Airtex fuel pump, and when I couldn't get the door open to replace it myself, took it to a mechanic who replaced it with a NAPA. Took three of those to find one that worked.

suggestion-Carter fuel pumps and sending units (Napa) and AZ (they come off the same line) both have very high fail rates (about 70%, Airtek is at 50% but they do all come with a warranty), my suggestion is to go with a GM or Delphi pump even though they cost more-because dropping that tank three or four times to fix the issue is a real pain, and at least to me not worth it in the long run. Hope you get it going
