Default Question about DRL pin bypass trick for 05s

Hate to make a new thread about this but I didn't know who best to PM about it. What I wanted to make sure was this: After bending pin 87 the DRLs no longer function BUT my low-beams will turn on as it gets dark, correct?

Reason I ask is I'm about to invest in some HIDs, and don't want to burn them out during the day, but still having the ALC on makes things easier. Thanks for any help!

DRL's use the high beams anyway so it wouldn't affect HID's. The only thing you have to worry about with HIDs is don't use the lock and unlock on the key fob because this will make them flash.

Not true for the 2005's, they use the low beams.
