Default Pulsing when braking... (2001 3.8L)

Hey,
So I have a 2001 Monte SS. Whenever I brake I get what feels like a pulsing coming from my brake pedal. I have already replaced the front rotors and pads along with the intermediate steering shaft and the problem is worse then ever. During slow braking you can really tell that what ever is making the noise/pressure is rotating. Every revolution it feels something is grabbing. At high speeds it is much worse then lower speeds. My mechanic has basically told me they haveno more ideas for the problem. If anyone hasinformation about this please fill me in or offer your opinion. Thank you

i am not sure but it could be a wheel bearing maybe.

Check to see if your calipers are sticking.

I would check the rear brake rotors and calipers.

It's your rear rotors

I do believe it is my rear rotors. When I was thinking about it after I posted I went through everything I was feeling and realized when I brake and take my hands off the wheel it still tracks perfectly which would make sense that it is the rear and not the front rotors.

Sounds like you have corrosion or dirt behind the rotors. They might be warped now. Take the rear wheels, calipers, and rotors off the car. Clean ALL the mating surfaces good. Turn the rotors. It can only help. Re-install everything. Here's the key: HAND TORQUE ALL the lug nuts tight to 100 ft/lbs in a staggered pattern. DO NOT USE AN IMPACT WRENCH, NOR LET ANY TECH USE ONE. HAND TORQUE ONLY! The next thing you need to do is to check them again after 30-50 miles. They WILL loosen.
Mis-mounting has ALWAYS been my biggest thorn in wheel vibration and pulsing brakes. It WILL warp rotors.

I replaced the rear rotors and pads yesturday and the problem is fixed. Its weird driving now, when I break I expect it to bump and pulse and its just smooth stopping... I'm sure I willget used to it though. thanks for the help.

Go and double check the torque of the lug nuts. REMEMBER: improper tightening of the lug nuts is the MAIN cause of warping rotors.
100 ft/lbs.
