Problem when I start the car
I have a 02 mc and when I goto turn on my car it just keeps turning over and over I have to hold the key on start for a while for it to finally catch on and start.I don't know if it's the starter or something else . If you know what can be the problem just post it please

holding the starter for more then 3 seconds is the main caude of starter failure. lol
sounds like that or the coil packs, also could be batt/alternator. not getting enough juice. GL
i would go to walmart...ect, get a 20 dollar volt/ohm meter and check the alternator/batt yourself. if its not that you should have thrown a code, get that checked out.
im pretty sure that coil packs go bad spontainiously, a starter will last as long forever as long as you baby it.

More info when I turn the key to acc all the lights on the gauges come on and when I turn to start everything dies out like if the batt is dead and spontaniously everything comes back and the car starts to crank (new batt) (alt two months old)

it is usually the battery or one of the wires is seriusly coroded. 1 out of ten batteries have known to fail with in two to three weeks so dont be suppriesed. the second look at the wires going to your battery then look at the conection at the starter and the starter siliniod it is usually the silinoid could also do it. but go first things first check fuil then wires then battery. or battery first do to the unknown factor the battery could have a gremline in it.
