I have a quick question...my sunroof will move a few inches and stop, I jiggle the switch some, it goes a little more, I move it in the other direction (closing), then back to opening and it goes some more. It will stick in both directions. I hope it just needs greasing (I only drive the car every few weeks, and only open the sunroof every now and then) but what kind of grease would I use and how would I get it on the tracks all the way back?

I want to fix this because everytimeI open it there's that little fear that it will stop completely and won't close!
If your Monte Carlo is an '00-'05, 04Intimidator had the same issue. Your DIC needs to relearn the sunroof. What you need to do is have your car on Acc, I think and run the moonroof back and forth about 10 times and it should relearn it. Good luck.

WOW!
One corner of my sunroof wasn't closing properly, a chunk of ice was caught in it when i tried and screwed up the alignment.
I googled the question, it took me to this thread. instructions were here.
I pulled the 6 allen screws looked at the tracks. it took about 5 seconds to pop it back into place if even that. 6 allen screws and done, right before the rain started again.
You guys are awesome!!!!!
