Power Steering Pump

Power Steering Pump
2006 MC 3.5 engine 3,300 miles turning the wheel 1/2-2/3 turn to the right and sometimes to left will cause a shudder or rattle that appears to be the Power Steering Pump felt in the steering wheel and seems to coming on the passenger side.
Had the dealer repair a power steeing hose leak 3 weeks ago. They overfilled the power steering fluid to the brim of the pump. I removed the excess with a clean turkey baster down to the correct has mark. Brought the car back to the dealer and they did not anything and could not replicate the problem. I said they could keep the car for days, but they call me after having it for only 1 hour and they lube the intermediate shaft, but I can still hear the noise at times usually while not moving such as in a parking space maneuver.
Any thoughts? Air in the system from the previous leak/repair...
Thanks.
Eric

RE: Power Steering Pump
might call em, ask to check for any new bulletins or PI's regarding the noise you describe. or just to ask if they checked the first time around.
air in the system will cause noise, and will eventually go away, but i would think it should of by now. applying a vacuum to the system can help draw air out, but i think 3 weeks of use would of done far more than trying vacuum.

RE: Power Steering Pump
i see a bulletin 06-02-32-005 for snap/pop noise durring steering wheel rotation, fix-replace inner tie rod boot. the boot can collapse unevenly while turning and contact the tierod inside.
doesnt really sound like yours though.
theres one for a moan, but all it says is to make sure the p/s fluid is at the right level, and correct it if it isnt.
and then the always popular steering shaft noise, but that doesnt sound like yours either.
