Default Possibly a new issue amoungst 6th Gens

Another topic I wanted to bring up I didn't see on upon a search, is my wiper pump activates when I use my turn signals/high beams, I have to push the handle towards dash to stop sometimes... I'm thinking it might be a bad switch, are they hard to replace?

Not to bump a dead thread but it could be the multifunction switch, the washer fluid switch is right there also, the stalk or multifunction are known to go bad and cause the headlights not to turn on, so that would be my guess.

I've had a stranger issue on my 7th gen.

Not touching any switch, and for no reason, wipers will come on for 1 pass.
Clean clear straight road, sometimes with cruise on, 1 pass of the wipers.
Its happened 5 times in 8 years, but sure is freaky, coming from nowhere.

Touch wood, haven't had switch problem in this car, but in 2 of my Z24's, I've replaced multi/headlight switch. A definite PITA to do yourself.
but the 2nd one I was in a hurry, dealer charge was 425.00

It probably is the multifunction switch, not hard to replace [I]if[I] you know what you're doing, and do research ahead of time. speaking from experience I can say that otherwise it becomes a long and arduous process

I was having issues with my high beams also, it is the multifunction switch that controls everything, they dont run too much for a salvaged one but be prepared for about 1-2 hours of work replacing it. You will need to disconnect your battery, remove the drivers airbag and the steering wheel, youll need an external torx socket to remove the torx screws holding it in, and then just unplug the old plug in the new and began reassembling.

ok, I thought it was going to be alot more simple than that... removing Air-bag, is that fairly simple?
