If not, which ones are.
The biggest thing is I want to increase power in my 03 ss monte and i just purchased a k&n filter system andi was wondering what i can do now without costing a huge amount of money.

 

they aren't chips but really mods to the air and fuel mixture, or shift points. I got the thomas racing one that guarantees 30-40 hp, still trying to get it installed correctly

The mod chips on ebay are junk. I have yet to see the ones that "promise" 30-40 hp. I call BS on that.

Generic chips simply aren't the way to go and especially at that level. More likely than not you might even blow your engine. I would invest in a tuner and do it yourself or bring it to a tuning shop.

 

I purchased one of those things a long time ago for my old mazda .... I never got a chance to install it though

 

My friend bought a chip of ebay for his old 96 Eclipse, he would blow so much smoke from his exhaust you could barely see behind him. POS
