When you view the engine from the front - for the 3800, the PCV valve is in front of the alternator. For the 3.1 or 3.4 (3400), it's located just to the right of the oil filler cap. Either one should a little metal can with a black plastic arm coming out of it hooked to rubber vacuum line. When you pull it out of the engine crankcase and shake it, you should hear it clinking and free enough to do it. If no sound, you have a clogged PVC valve and needs to be replaced. Should be a $2-3 dollars to replace. It gets clogged due to the recircualting of exhaust fumes and oil and from the crankcase.I make it a rule to change every other oil change - just to make sure it never has a chance to clog.[sm=smiley10.gif] When it does clog, the engine will have trouble idling and will make the engine die after warmup.
