P102 Code for 2000 Monte Carlo SS
Hi,
My check engine light came on last week and I was able to get it scanned at my friend's garage. What came up on the scanner was a "P102 mass or volume air flow circuit low input" He told me that my maff sensor was having issues. Thing is I bought this maff sensor right before the winter from ZZP. Is it possible that it's already gone bad or could something else be causing this?
The revs fluctuate a bit when I'm at a stop or coming to a stop.
I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS
Thanks

Have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor? I'd start with that and if it doesn't resolve the problem I'd check the circuit. There are instructions on how to do this in post #15 of this thread:

Some people have also reported a MAF code being set when it was the IAC at fault. With the rpm fluctuating I would also pull the IAC valve and clean any carbon from it and the housing.
