7th Gen ('06-'07): P0651/Engine Power Reduced/Service TC
#21
You really need to find a shop that knows what there doing. This is a case of hooking up a usefull scanner and watching everything while driving to see whats going on. If you lived in NY, I would have no problem helping you with this issue. Otherwise this is a guessing game. Like I said before you either have a sensor/wiring harness shorting or bad ecm.

P0651 refers to a 5 volt reference signal is either too high or too low at one or more sensors. Check the wiring harness making sure the connectors are clean/tight. Also check the harnesses that plug into the PCM. Do a continuity test on the harness to make sure there isn't an open or short in the wiring. It could also be a shorted sensor. Worst scenario your PCM is defective.

So I noticed there were a lot of places where the retainers for a lot of the wires in my engine bay were not clipped back where they belonged after my car went to have the engine rebuilt. I don't know if clipping them back into place or after a good tank of fuel injector cleaners which one did it, but she seems to be working normally again. I hope it continues to keep working. Previously, it would only drive for about 20 minutes every time. It's been running for a few hours today with no hiccups.

Haha, yeah... I was thinking December because I'm moving to Colorado Springs next month and posting after I got to work at 4AM. That time of day is always interesting for whatever comes out of my head. Before I get up there, it looks like I might also need to replace my oil pan. The road took out a large chunk close to the drain plug and as it has gotten colder, she suddenly seems to leak all over the ground when the temp drops.

2 years of no problems with this and it starts acting up again today after my girlfriend dropped me off at the airport. I'll be gone for two weeks, so nothing I can really do, but most notably it's done this when it was hot outside. At least I have a second car now. G8 ftw
