7th Gen ('06-'07): P0651/Engine Power Reduced/Service TC

Definitely. I'm fairly certain it's something in the wiring for the crank sensor circuit, but we'll see. I had enough of trying to diagnose it and finally put her in the shop last night. I hate electrical problems. However, with their more advanced tools, the shop should be able to pinpoint it faster.

I would say a sensor is shorting the 5 volt reference line or the pcm is bad. Just had a saturn vue at my work with the same code and it was a bad pcm. Had another gm car in shop awhile ago with a tank pressure sensor shorted, hope they figure it out for ya.

Per the dealership, I need to replace plugs, wires, and injectors. I'm not entirely certain how that threw the P0651 code though, and I don't quite understand how it runs fine until it's warmed up a bit. Strange.

The only other note that I forgot to mention is that once it has cooled off, the problem takes a little longer to manifest. It actually stalled in my driveway, and when I cranked it back up, the crank time was noticeably longer however it did start again. Hopefully it's just a sensor or dirty connection.
Check your battery voltage and connections at battery, starter and ground point on transaxle. Check the ground wire for the ICM (located under it) and make sure it is not oxidized or corroded. Have the ICM tested. Have them run multiple consecutive tests so the ICM gets hot. Something inside may be expanding once it gets hot and creating a short. Have your starter motor tested for excessive amperage draw. Replace if needed.

Alright, so here's the current status, I'm going broke lol. Replaced the plugs/wires and it ran a million times better. One of the plugs had about half of the porcelain missing from it (why I like to do my own work, no telling how long it's been like that). Anyway, I manage to drive it around for about 20 minutes feeling fairly confident. It dies on a slight incline when giving it some gas after the light changed green. No warning, no indication of anything on the dash, just stalls. Attempted to restart a few times and it finally came back, but with the engine power reduced message. Had to back down the hill (in the rain). Checked fuel pressure, got plenty of that. Resistance on all the injectors checks out too. Occasionally while trying to start, voltage would drop down to 7 volts when it wouldn't start. The longer I let it sit, the easier it is to start (which honestly could be any number of problems). Only thing I noticed is that suddenly, my trunk will no longer open, and occasionally, there is up to 15 volts at the battery. Right now, she's stuck between a casino and a strip club lol

Yessir! I am in Shreveport and frequently in baton rouge. Lived down there the last two years and my girlfriend still lives down there, so I'm back and forth a lot. I'm just glad this thing crapped out on me before I got halfway down I49 lol. As a longshot, I've got the battery on a charger as it's dropping to 7 volts periodically while cranking. I just have too many weird things going on at this point to really be certain of what it is. I just don't really want to continue to put it in the shop and keep paying those fees. Yikes. On another note, I saw a Chevy ss this morning at work. I smiled. And might have drooled a little lol
