Default Overhead Display

Hello! My ‘03 MC Overhead Display (above the mirror) has been giving me the incorrect outside temperature readings. I replaced the sensor on the frame behind the radiator that is associated with that, but I am still not getting the right outside temperature readings.
I did try to reset it by driving at 50 an hour for 30 minutes but that didn’t fix the problem. All the other functions work okay......help!!?

maybe the temp sensor uses voltage differences to determine the temp, check resistance along the electrical lines to make sure ohms aren't high

How do you reset the display? Mine keeps saying I am getting 7.1 MPG. I hit a few buttons and I get a house display with 1, 2 or 3 dots.

On the screen that says 7.1mpg, hold the reset button for a few seconds. Assuming the 7.1 is for the average mpg, not instant mpg.

I am getting senile. I was sitting at a traffic light and put on my reading glasses and could plainly see the word "Reset". Duh. So on the way home on the Interstate running 75 mph I averaged 24 mpg. Not bad for a blown car. Thanks for the reply.
