By tuner I'm sure he means the DHP Tuner or HP Power Tuners. You install the software on a laptop and plug it into your OBD2 port. You can set air/fuel mixtures at different RPMs, and alot of other cool stuff. Well worth the money in my opinion.

z34phoenix - Yeah, I know the turbo in itself won't fix the KR issue, but I do appreciate the post regarding it. I know the KR problem is going to be heat related and I'm putting all my bet in the fact that the superchargers are known to create a tremendous amount of heat. The supercharger might just need to be port and polished (I will probably get this done anyway) but by nature the tubos push cooler air into the system and I think that will help out the most in the end.

If it isn't, well thenit gives me an excuse tohave to get headers and port the heads.

Then you need to buy a laptop. You can get a ton of inexpensive ones on Ebay in the $100-$300 department. Heck I'm looking to either sell mine or put it in the car only and it's only 4 years old. It still makes a great every day pc (using it right now to answer)but I would like something faster for putting new games on.

All you need is a laptop made in the last 8 years or so to support the software. I'd get one thats about 3-5 years old for the best price/performance point. Mine is a 1.8 Ghz P4, 30 gig drive with 384 MB of memory.

The big point really to get on the laptop is to make sure it has good batteries so you can use it on the road. You can always use an extention cord in the garage, but the porability is so much nicer.
