Have an oil leak on my 98 monte, wondering what could cause this to happen. Any help would be appreciated

I assume it's a 3100 or 3400 engine?
If I understand the pic, it is taken of the front of the oil pan from the ground up (black or dark colored oil filter seen in the shot, as well as the starter).

If all my info is correct:
- ensure the oil filter is not loose
- inspect the oil pressure switch for leaking
