Is there a factory amp in the trunk? If so meter the orange wires running into it and see if they read 12v.

Figured it out today... The "Blue/white" wire coming from the new radio goes to the WHITE (trigger) wire on the factory harness.. I see a lot of people have this issue... Should do a picture "How to" write up... I have it all on pictures... Hmmmm wonder if it would help others... What do you think ? Thanks again for the reply... Mjclemm..

Default Caused an accident in my Monte Carlo. Aftermarket radio. No Sound

I hope what your saying could be the cure to my problem. My sub wires from my aftermarket amp (2400 watt Orion Cobalt) had touch my rear speakers wires which caused a spark and automatically sound was gone from my entire interior speakers. My radio works perfectly fine, but my brand new sub which I recently installed it after the problem sounds distorted. Could this be the factory amp that shortage out? Help please before wasting lots of money than doing it myself.
