Default No low beams

This morning I came out to my car and started it up. As I was scratching my eyes I realized I had no headlights. The high beams work, the fog lights work, the turn signals work. I got home tonight and pulled the lights, and they are fine. The fuses looked good also, but I replaced them to be sure.I then noticed that my daytime running lights also worked. I even turned on the lights, but to no avail. Please help, really dont know what to look at next????

I would say maybe a bad switch...does the headlight switch also control the auto headlights? I know there is a sensor on the dash, but I wonder if they are connected somehow. Welcome to the forum, don't be a stranger and be patient. Some of our more knowledgeable members will have an answer!

On my 04, the daytime running lights use the highbeams at a reduced votage.

I would suggest pulling the connector off of the low beam bulb, turn on the low-beams and measure the voltage at the connector. If nothing, check the obvious first. Like fuses and relays. You might want to have your manual handy incase there's more than one.

A common problem is corrosion on the terminals in the connector that plugs onto the bulb.

Good luck. Let us know what you find.

is it the low beams or the day time running lights that aren't working...could be a bad socket too, i know one of mine we're burnt for some reason once, i just cleaned them up and they worked
