Hi all,

I have an 01 Monte SS and I have been experiencing trouble with my blinkers not always functioning. I have read this is somewhat of a common problem in our cars. I have also read that it is the hazard switch going bad? Any truth to this, I've heard the blinkers run through this switch and is what makes them work. Sometimes I will push the hazard button when they don't work and then they will work when I click it off.

you are correct on this one, i allready replaced mine because it was doing the same thing. i dont know how common it it though

 

Pretty common, happened to me as well, changed the hazzard switch, and all better..

off topic, but how many miles does your gto have and has it ever given you any problems?

30K Miles, my specific GTO, only really had 2 issues, 1.) bad pedal sensor put the car in Safe mode, making it not go over 30MPH, and a clunk in the rear end, both times brought to the dealer and fixed (Changed sensor, tightened suspension bolt)

Also, there are issues with the fuel line rubbing up against the engine cover and being cut causing fires, I taped it up and put a cushion, still check it every once in a while to be sure...

Other issues I have not had but are known, paint peeling, and tire/strut rubs on '04s/'05's and strut leaks on '06's

That's about it off the top of my head.
